Ask to see the registration certificate and compare the vehicle’s registration, chassis and engine details with the available records. Confirm who owns the vehicle.
Loan status and NOC
Ask whether the vehicle has an outstanding loan or hypothecation. If a loan has been cleared, review the lender’s NOC and the ownership-transfer requirements with the relevant authority.
Insurance and PUC
Review the insurance and Pollution Under Control certificate, including their validity and vehicle details. Confirm the applicable transfer and renewal requirements before buying.
